Armstrong Media Group (AMG) is a small independent publisher, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, that focuses on publishing manuscripts of historical and/or cultural significance. So far we have published historical novels and a memoir, as well as anthologies written by teenage mothers. Recently we have expanded with a collection of children’s books about travel around the world, written in Spanish. Our mission is to promote peace and understanding by showing points of view, experiences, feelings and desires from different races, cultures, geographic locations. We publish those works that we believe fulfill our mission.

Founder & CEO Michael A. Pyle

Michael A. Pyle incorporated Armstrong Media Group, LLC under a different name in 2000 as a means of offering services to foreign students who utilized his book series Cliffs TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Preparation Guide. In 2009, Pyle changed the company’s name to Armstrong Media Group, LLC (‘AMG’) and transitioned it into a publishing company. AMG published White Sugar, Brown Sugar under the pen name E.G. Tripp in 2012, and soon republished it under Pyle’s actual name as author.

Pyle began writing fiction, including early short stories and drafts of White Sugar, Brown Sugar when he was a teenager. He majored in English at the University of Florida, and continued working on the stories and novel in creative writing courses at U.F. He co-wrote Cliffs TOEFL Preparation Guide, published by Cliffs Notes in 1982, wrote Cliffs Advanced Practice for TOEFL in 1992, published by Hungry Minds, and wrote Cliffs TOEFL CBT, published by Wiley and Sons in 2002. Pyle also wrote a short story Eloise’s Day in Court, published by the Elder Law section of the Florida Bar

White Sugar, Brown Sugar describes first-hand knowledge of most of the negative experiences described in the narrative. While the book was not autobiographical, many of the experiences contained in it were based on Pyle’s early years.

Pyle determined to published the other works because he felt that these books fulfilled the mission he wished to accomplish.

Besides writing and publishing, Pyle is an attorney practicing estate planning, probate, guardianship, real estate, and elder law in the law firm of Pyle & Dellinger, PL, in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Email to >> Mike@ArmstrongMediaGroup.net
